“I’m going to encourage you to focus only on Plan A. In other words, eff a plan B.” – Lilly Singh
I’ve been told by my own parents & my friends whom I am not with anymore to have a plan B. Thank goodness I am not with those friends anymore. I’m glad that my brothers & my present friends have not told me to have a “plan B.” Sounds like they know what’s up.
I really don’t understand what “plan B” means in terms of success & chasing your dreams & turning them into goals. I’ve always had a plan A & it will always be that, no matter what.
My plan A is become a choreographer & a fashion stylist. It is not a “have one & fall back on the other” type deal. I’ve seen artists who can be both things in life or more than two things & achieved them all in their life. I aspire to be that because it is so fulfilling & wonderful. I’m not going to combine the two & focus being a fashion stylist in the dance community or use the body language aspect in a fashion editorial & incorporate dancers into the fashion spread. Although, that would help. In this time in my life, I would like to keep both separate from the other as I find my purpose & my powerful Why.
This post is inspired by Lilly Singh’s book, “How to be a Bawse” I am doing a #90DayChallenge for myself that presents what I have learned from her book.
