“A Bawse knows that if they’re going to feel validated, it should happen only when they accomplish a goal or contribute to soceity.” – Lilly Singh
I truly believe that. The times I have been validated was when I have performed in front of an audience after working so hard on choreography for weeks. The only times I have contributed to soceity was when I donated clothes, shoes & scarves as well as those times helping elderly in high school. I know I should be doing more that. I’d like to. It’s just that I prefer to focus all my energy on my pursuits & the person I am becoming. That’s very important to me. Also, I have daily goals that are also valid, like doing yoga & ab workouts as well as reading.
I have SO many goals in my life. Although the main ones are to become a choreographer & fashion stylist. It’s not whichever comes first nor is it which one is more of a priority. Both are equal to me. I prefer to keep them separate from the other, so that I can distinguish my style in each one. That way I can show different sides of myself.
This post is inspired by Lilly Singh’s book, “How to be a Bawse.” I am doing a #90DayChallenge for myself that presents what I have learned from her book.
